Trish has such an awesome give-a-away going on! She has a beautiful bag up for grabs with a pack each of Celebrity Millions, Tombstone Tracts, and Curved Illusions. She says there are a few other surprises as well. So, make sure you go check it out and enter!
Okay ... I normally wouldn't read anything that came out of the Daily Kos or anyone who participates in their community, but I have to say ... I did love this from Pastor Dan:
Pay up, whiners. You participate in the economy, you receive its benefits, and there is no lawful reason for you to buck authority. Cough up the coin you have accepted and be done with it.
You know, we had to pay in past what we had already paid in. Yeah, it sucks to owe the government money. But, I agree with that post. Read the whole thing. :)

I don't know if you have read the blog post by David Wilkerson where he prophesied about an upcoming earth-shattering calamity. If you haven't you might want to check it out. It makes for interesting reading.
Let me say upfront that I am of the Pentecostal persuasion. I believe in the Word of God and therefore I believe in visions and prophecy. My understanding is that David Wilkerson is a well-respected man of God and I have no reason to doubt that or what he says. Saying that, I will tell you that I believe prophecy can be tested and since the test of it is whether or not it comes true ... I say it is better to be safe than sorry unless the "prophesy" contradicts the Word of God and then you can just ignore it.
Dr. David Reagan has written a blog post regarding Wilkerson's vision. Tony Miano also wrote a post regarding it as well. Both men take different stances but remain respectful to everyone else. Some really good reading.
What do you think?
Shane Vander Hart has a post on Fetal Farming that quotes Jacob M. Appel, a bioethicist, regarding aborting babies for their organs. Here is just one sentence ...
Since far more women have legal abortions each year in the United States than would be required to clear organ wait-lists, if only a small percentage of those women could be persuaded to carry their fetuses to the necessary point of development for transplantation, society might realize significant public health benefits.
Can I hurl now? What this man suggests is morally reprehensible and evil. It is bad enough we have women in this country who feel that their only viable option is to murder their own babies ... but then to encourage them to do so ... so we can farm their organs? This is wrong on so many levels. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who thinks that this is a good idea has lost their minds. They need serious psychiatric help. Better yet, they need Jesus. Really.
It gets worse if you really want to read all of it.
I said recently in a comment that I wanted to read Christian blogs that edify their readers. One of my favorite blogs ... even though Cory does not post that often ... is The Cantankerous Christian. He is a Kentucky blogger like me. And ... he writes some of the most personal and thought-provoking posts that I have ever read. I love how he just opens himself up, lets you see where he is on a spiritual level and what God is doing in his life. It is awesome.
Anywho ... check him out. His latest post is WWYD...What Will YOU Do?
The comment from Tom A. Trottier that never seems to die. It just keeps showing up again and again. It is still as stupid now as it was back then.
Kos posted it and Blondesense adds graphics.
And, my response back in 2004 ... still stands.
