I am really happy for him and his success and I am sure he is enjoying the attention now ... but I hope it settles down before it starts interfering with the man's life. Can you imagine trying to buy a gallon of milk and it taking three hours because of fans? LOL

- I ripped my favorite jeans today and I am not pleased about it at all. I can't fix them ... the rip is in a very obvious place and it would look tacky.
- I watched Prayers for Bobby. It is a very sad movie. I think too often people, especially the brethern, forget that when they are talking about homosexuals that they are talking about people who have feelings just like everyone else. I know too many people who just want to forget that and they dehumanize them.
- President Obama lifted the ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions or provide abortion information on Friday. I am torn on this. I kind of agree with him that the ban was too broad and has undermined family planning in developing countries ... countries like Africa where children are born to HIV infected parents every day. I can understand not wanting to fund abortions ... but there has to be some compromise that allows us to help these countries provide birth control for these women.
Sometimes I think we get so focussed on the act of abortion itself that we forget who we are affecting. These are real women, living in real poverty, bringing children into the world just so they can die of disease and starvation. We have people in this country who don't want to help feed them or give them healthcare ... that whole socialism thing ... but, they also do not want to see them take birth control to prevent these pregnancies either. I don't get that. I can't even begin to wrap my mind around it.
- Obama has also banned torture. As a Christian, I have a hard time reconciling torture with my faith. But, I also have a hard time trying to figure out how to get information from people who would like to see us dead. I think there are probably much better, less harmful ways of torturing people than we have seen come out of Gitmo ... but I don't think you can deal with such people, and get the information our country needs, without some form of torture.
- I am having an issue with someone in my family and I don't know how to handle it. I really don't. Just thinking about it gets me all upset and I don't know what to do.
- I think I did something to my knee. It got to feeling really weird today and I couldn't put all my weight on it and I started limping. It happened when I took NoNo to get her flu shot. I hope she is not getting too big for me to carry. She isn't walking yet.
- We had a great service last night at church. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was awesome that my oldest daughter and her best friend went up front to be prayed for. They are going to be baptized next Sunday. Praise God!
- I need to get healthy and I don't feel healthy.
- I like Facebook much better than MySpace.
- The title of this post is "Randomness" for a reason. :)
Busy is the word of the day around here. I am still working on the new church website. It is coming along swimmingly. I think it looks really good. I still need a bit of information from a few of the ministries, but other than that ... it is pretty much done. I am still waiting for Pastor to review it and approve a few things. Hopefully, that will happen tomorrow.
We are working on the house too. It appears we have accumulated too much junk and the junk does not want to pay rent. So ... we are kicking it out.
The hubby and I are doing well on our new lifestyle change ... him more so than me. I have lost three pounds. Hubby has lost twenty pounds ... and he has cheated repeatedly! Needless to say ... men make me sick.
Tonight is The Biggest Loser and I cannot wait! I love that show.
As for the title of this post ... it has nothing to do with the content. I just liked the sound of it. Ha!
Speaking of Reality TV ... I watched Momma's Boys last night. The Biggest Loser is normally the only Reality TV I watch, but I couldn't help myself after seeing the previews. Plus, the girls wanted to check it out too and see what all the fuss was about.
Is JoJo's mom not the most obnoxious woman? I about fell out when she started saying that her son couldn't date "a black one" or "an Asian" or even a Jewish girl. No ... she said the girl had to be white. Mom is from Iraq. Does she think she is white? I don't think people consider Iraqis to be white. Obviously, she does.
Momma is seriously prejudiced and I cannot believe that they have actually put this woman on a television show. Of course ... she claims she is not racist at all but what came out of her mouth was indeed racist. How many more people can she offend before the show completes? And ... to top it off she wants a daughter-n-law that she can control ... who will obey her every command.
And ... from the looks of next weeks show ... it may just be another doozy when Momma catches her son kissing on a girl that definitely did not look white. I can't help but wonder just how ugly they are going to let this show get. I guess we will find out. If anything ... it will be a good teaching tool to educate my daughters on just how ignorant some people can be.
Michelle took the prize on The Biggest Loser last night! She lost 110 lbs! I am so happy for her. I loved her mom and her so much. I was also tickled that it was another pink shirt that got it. I am crazy about Ali and think she is just the cutest thing ever ... maybe even more so than Suzy.
Plus ... I favor Jillian's team. I don't know why ... I like Bob. I think he is awesome. But some of his team members can be something else. They tend to be so much more manipulative. I think that is why Heba wasn't voted to the finals and Ed was. Ed just comes off as such a nice guy. Heba comes off as manipulative and willing to sell her husband down the river if it will get her what she wants. Same with Vicky.
The new season will start January 6th and I cannot wait!
Over the weekend, I watched The Nativity Story. I bought it last year, but had never sat down to actually watch it. I don't know what took me so long! I loved it!
I loved the way Mary and Joseph were portrayed and how their relationship grew from one of acquaintance to husband and wife. To watch Mary fall in love with Joseph was so touching. You watch her respect for him develop. You see his gentleness and character. It was all so moving.
If you haven't seen this movie, I would definitely recommend it this Christmas. The parades are nice and so are all the shows about Santa and Rudolph ... but the reason for the season is Jesus. This movie definitely reminds you of that and the great sacrifice our Lord made.
I have always loved Billy Graham and I cannot wait to see this movie.
I am just praying I can work it out so I can go see it this weekend. The hubby is going to FCF Fall Trace, a Royal Rangers event, and won't be here with me. I know he would hate to miss going to the movies with me ... but I think I would hate missing the movie altogether more.
If you have never checked out Billy Graham's ministry, I strongly suggest you do so.
Did you know that Kirk Cameron will only kiss his wife ... even on the silver screen? It's true. Not only does he stand up for what he believes in ... but he also sets an example that all Christians can be proud of.
"I have a commitment not to kiss any other woman," the former child star of "Growing Pains" told Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford Monday on TODAY in New York.
You know it is so awesome when you see another Christian living their life for the Lord with integrity and truth. Their boldness can be such an inspiration. We need more of that in this world. A lot more.
And, as someone who saw the movie ... I was totally fooled! I had no clue it was Chelsea instead of Erin Bethea, the female lead who plays Kirk's onscreen wife.

The hubby and I went to the movies last night to see Fireproof and was it ever an awesome movie! We loved it. It had both of us crying in a few different places as well. It was definitely money well spent!
We are going to offer to babysit tonight for some friends of ours that we know will benefit from seeing this movie. But, I can tell you ... it doesn't matter if your marriage is rock solid or falling apart ... you will get something from this movie. And, if you plan on getting married, now or in the future, I would strongly recommend this movie. You will not be disappointed!

Update 11:42 AM: I got curious and googled Kirk Cameron, the lead in this movie, and thought I would share some of the linkage. It is some good stuff, but then again I have always been a big Kirk Cameron fan ...

The final episode of Will & Grace is on.
Last night, Kirk Cameron and Lee Strobel had a wonderful discussion about The Da Vinci Code. They discussed how Christians should take the opportunity granted to us to have a dialogue with unbelievers, and our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ as well, who may walk away confused from the book or movie. Lee Strobel has even come out with two great ways to start those conversations. One is a very inexpensive book that you can give to people called Exploring The Da Vinci Code. The other is Discussing The Da Vinci Code, which includes 4-session DVD, a group discussion guide, and a bonus outreach book. It actually takes you to all the historic locations that are mentioned in the book and separates the fact from fiction. And, as Lee Strobel points out ... only 10% is fact and 90% is fiction. Kirk even brought one of The Da Vinci Code Gospel Tracts, which are a great way to break the ice and witness to unbelievers.
My favorite three words to describe The Da Vinci Code is ... "It's fiction, dummy." Many people are walking away from the movie and the book confused, not sure what to believe. Unfortunately, my way isn't the greatest way to witness to unbelievers about Christ or even explain to them who He is. And, as I came to realize listening to Kirk and Lee last night, this is a witnessing opportunity for all of us. As Lee pointed out, we should be thanking Dan Brown for it! He put the discussion on the table and now it is time for Christians to take it to the next level.
Kirk Cameron, of The Way Of The Master, will be hosting Praise The Lord tonight at 9 PM CST on TBN. He will be interviewing Lee Strobel, author of Case For A Creator, and Randy Alcorn about his new book Heaven.
