It just really sucks when you preach a different gospel and then get called on it. But, I guess it makes it easier to bear if you just blame those who want nothing to do with your heresies than it is to actually face that you are a heretic in need of repentance ...

Brian McLaren is a big name in Emergent Christianity. And, what actually marks him as a heretic is the fact that he preaches a different Gospel. The Jesus he preaches is not the Jesus of the Bible at all. He actually claims that the Cross is false advertising for God.

No,I picked my names with a bit of care. Eddy (Christian Science) and Smith (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) both pretended they were Christians when they got things rolling. I wish I had a burrito for every Mormon who STILL thinks they are Christian. If you want hersey, plain and simple, those are your crew.
"Ron" made the list for the concept of SECRET HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE that Christianity is opossed to, Our truths are in the open and can be grasped by all...Folks were so quick to jump on the Dianetic/Scientology bandwagon they didn't even wait to see if it was TRUE or WORKED.

But my point in rasing ANY of the names was that America barely batted an eye. They set up shop and that was that. It's hard to get a reaction in that kind of climate.
And given that climate, and the fact that nobody READS anymore, how big a noise can this guy BE? How big a push can there be against what he says?
