Brittany Murphy dies at the age of 32.

Wow! It doesn't seem likely does it? Especially considering they believe she may have died of natural causes. And to be so young? She was a beautiful woman with a husband and family that she loved. She made a lot of money making movies and was well known for her smile and contagious giggle. She was really funny, but could play serious roles as well.

We aren't promised our tomorrows. Do you know what will happen to you when you meet eternity? Find out at www.NeedGod.com.

Seven years ago, my sister got cancer.
We wrote or emailed or talked almost every day, and eventually she beat it.
But one thing I noticed when it was all going down..folks would always want her to have a REASON that she got it. Did she smoke? Was there a big family history? Did she work in an asbestos mine? Stuff like that.
And I would look them in the eye and say;"None of the above. Anyone can die at anytime."
When Murphy died, a doctor was passing through our station at work and said he thought her death was due to bulemia. Like Karen Carpenter. He thought her legs and shoulders were dead give aways.
Right off, people were looking for REASONS, so it couldn't be THEM.
Now, of course, it's a month later, and they say she had 10 different drugs in her system and everyone has sort of lost interest.
THAT makes SENSE and lets everyone off the hook. It was HER fault, and the randomness has been removed from the situation.
But my statement stands. Anyone can die at any time. It's one of the reasons I like the films of Akira Kurosawa so much.( He made THE SEVEN SAMURAI, and THRONE OF BLOOD.) Once every film, he would remind you with a swift, "in-your-face" death that was perfectly timed to be off centred and take you by surprize. Remember THE BODYGUARD, with Whitney Houston? When Kevin Costner takes her to the black and white movie and the guy on screen chops off someone's arm? That was one of his. I was in the theatre and involuntarily blurted out:"Hey, that's Kurosawa, that's a GREAT movie!" Chop goes the sword and EVERYONE around me just sort of inhaled and moved away.
And you can do that. You can pretend your money and gated community will protect you and that you have to have a REASON to die sooner then later and that you are protected.
What was the line from the Fram oil filter commercial?
"Pay now, or pay me later..."
