George Tiller was murdered Sunday. Mr. Tiller performed late-term abortions and was sought for justice by many pro-life groups. Unfortunately, someone took justice into their own hands and ended Mr. Tiller's life as he performed his duties as usher in his own church.
I don't understand the thinking of his church, or him ... for that matter ... nor do I understand the person who thought it would be okay to enter his church and shoot him down.

A stupid girl hired a even stupider man to beat her up and kill her unborn child. It seems her stupid boyfriend told her he was going to break up with her if she did not "get rid" of the baby. So, she decided that her stupid boyfriend was more important than her unborn child.
What is beyond ignorant about this case is that while the girl was charged with first-degree felony criminal solicitation to commit murder and the man was charged with second-degree felony attempted homicide ... people murder babies in the womb every single day and it is legal.
I can't wait to hear what the defense is going to come up with.

As to B's question ... For my own part, I have no way to know. Many Christians do things that we shouldn't. Like Angel, I have no idea what he was thinking or how he reconciled his profession with his profession of faith.
It's also not my job to figure out. Whether he was a Christian or not is something for Jesus to call, not me.

I would be surprised if Angel said that she didn't think Tiller was a christian even though I suspect most christians really don't think he was.
B: I don't see how he could have done what he did for a living and thought God would be okay with it. I can't even begin to wrap my mind around it. But, it is not my place to say if he was or he wasn't.
I can tell you this though ... he would not have been an usher at my church. You can't be an usher and leadership know that you have an ongoing sin issue in your life. My church holds firm that abortion on demand is murder and while Mr. Tiller performed abortions because the mother's life was in danger ... that was not always the case. I am guessing more often than not, it wasn't the case.

And, that other case is just stupid. That is why I just had to keep using that word! I would take it out and then put it back in because she was stupid, he was stupid, and the boyfriend was stupid. Sad and stupid -- perfect description.
