People Crack Me Up

I was having a conversation at Wal-Mart that went a little like this ...

Person A: Gurl, that baby sure is pretty. She looks just like her daddy. Look at that face!

Me: Thank you. I think so too.

Person A: Ooooo and she still has those blue eyes!

Me: Yep! She sure does.

Person B: You know that they will probably change, right? *frowning*

Me: I don't think so. She is a year old now and they are still blue.

Person A: Where did she get that blond hair? Think that is going to change too?

Me: It could ... but my sister is blond.

Person B: No. It will change. You watch.

Me: It could. My dad had blond hair until he was five and then it went black.

Person B: Them eyes are going to change too. I bet she gets darker later.

Me: They may. They may not. We'll see, I guess.

Person A: I hope they don't. I think she is beautiful!

Person B: Mmm. I think they will change. *frowning*

Me: Well, if they don't ... they don't. She's a white-skinned, blue-eyed, blond haired black girl and people can just get over it if they don't like it! *smiling at Person B*

Person A: You go, gurl! *laughing*
