I always get a bit tickled by people's perceptions. The "Left" feels that they handled the election of Bush so much better than the "Right" has Obama. Of course, the "Right" feels that they have handled the election of Obama much better than the "Left" did Bush. In my opinion, both are equally wrong. Both sides have gotten nasty, childish, and showed an utter lack of class.
But, I must admit that this is just plain trashy ...
I have never been fond of President Bush, but still ... acting like juvenile delinquents does nothing but make you look like trash. And, unfortunately, the Democratic Party has it's fair share of idiots just like the Republican Party does. The Democratic Underground has just made sure to spotlight as many of them as possible in one place.

Those reports said other spectators chanted "No more Bush" when he arrived on the podium for the swearing-in ceremony. And as the Bushes left Washington in a helicopter, some in the crowd sang, "Na na na na, hey-hey, goodbye."
The liberal blog Democratic Underground offers an entry called "Adios, mother******," in which hundreds of people offer their own "good riddance" sentiments, many of them profane.

I find that both sides play 'pot kettle black' far too often. They claim the other side does what they themselves are doing, but deny, or admit they do it but justify it.
Well said.
I am an independent, having left the Republican Party in 1995 when I realized that it wasn't any better than the Democratic Party. Over the past decade and a half, I've come to see both parties as much more juvenile associations than productive ones.
Relatively few people have the class to point out the offenses of their own parties ... so you have my thanks and congratulations.
Well, I try to be fair. Plus, I am a moderate. :) I don't sit on the "Left" or the "Right" and honestly don't want to. I think you get a much better perspective sitting right in the middle.
I have been told a few times that I really need to declare myself as an Independent, but I am biased towards the Democrats so I don't think it would be honest of me. Plus ... I have never liked it when Independents, who are obviously Republicans, pretend their not.
I've heard local talk radio hosts here in Georgia say that President Obama is the "GREAT EVIL" and that America is doomed. First "Bushitler" now "THE GREAT EVIL".
What is wrong with folks? It's like they are hoping the worse to happen.
That is why I said I don't wish any ill-will on our president. I live in this country too and while I may not agree with all of his politics, and even may hope certain laws he wants to pass will not be passed, I am not going to hope or pray he will fail as a whole.
