eHarmony has given in and will now hook up gay people. I find this wrong on so many levels. The fact that anyone would sue eHarmony because they do not provide services to them is stupid. It is not like eHarmony is the only dating site on the net. There are many such sites specifically for homosexuals ... and some of those sites do not provide services to heterosexuals ... but you don't hear them crying.

This case is akin to a meat-eater suing a vegetarian restaurant for not offering him a rib-eye, or a female patient suing a vasectomy doctor for not providing her hysterectomy services.
Honestly ... I think I would have fought it or even shut my business down. If I make pants for girls and they don't fit boys ... but boys want the pants I make ... no one is going to force me to make pants for them too. It is ridiculous. Next thing you know ... someone is going to sue the Girl Scouts because they don't accept boys into their organization. It won't matter that there is a Boy Scouts. That won't be the point. The point will be forcing oneself onto others regardless of how ignorant it makes you look.

Well, I don't think it is the end of the world, Ben ... but it is ridiculous. And ... ignorant.
The hubby and I were talking last night about how there are Black dating sites ... but White people don't sue to use them. There are sites specifically for interracial couples and dating. Pagans have sites for them. Black people have sites for them. Jewish people have sites for them. Gay people have sites for them. There are sites that are for kids, teens, and the elderly.
No one has a problem with that. But ... let eHarmony have a dating site that is built on years of studies on heterosexual relationships and then someone has to have a problem with it. I heard they even had some trouble from a married guy that wasn't happy that they wouldn't let him look for a little something on the side. They don't do that and he got mad about it.
It is all so very, very stupid.
It is idiotic. Now I guess eHarmony will build their new homosexual website just like all the other dating sites instead of on the compatibility factor that has made eHarmony so successful. Gay rights has been found to be victorious! Or has it?
