Hell's Best Kept Secret

A few years ago, I was a professing Christian who had fallen away from the faith. To say I was a "backslider" was an understatement. I had slid so far back in some regards, there was no way you would ever have even considered me a Christian in the first place. I was definitely living "the way of the world."

I knew I was not right with God by no means. My mother would tell me I was saved because I had came to salvation as a child. But, I didn't feel that way. I knew I was living a sinful life, going through the motions of "apologizing" to God and asking Him to forgive me ... and then doing whatever I wanted. I figured there would always be time to "live" like a Christian later. I wanted to do things my way for the now. Plus, I was a good person. There were lots of people far worse than me.

There were times that I would seek God more earnestly and want to have Him in my life. It was during one of those times that I came across a website and it changed me. When I first came across The Way of the Master, it had Kirk Cameron as the first thing you saw and he asked you if you were a Christian. You picked "yes" or "no" and then he would walk you through the ten commandments. I realized real quick that I was in serious spiritual trouble.
