I don't think there was one minute yesterday when I wasn't busy. Between laundry, grabbing groceries, going through files, cleaning up my comp a bit, and working on some CE courses I am taking ... I was one busy bee! Today isn't much better. I am still working on some household chores, those same CE courses, and I am working out a plan to de-clutter my life a bit.
I also have a roast planned for today. Oh, yes. Roast, potatoes, carrots, onions, mushrooms, and gravy with biscuits. Delicious! I am getting ready to marinate the roast for a bit and then slow cook it until later this afternoon.
Friday, I worked out my Thanksgiving Menu. I am cooking turkey, ham w/pineapple and cherries, chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes, corn, fried cabbage, green beans w/potatoes, rolls, giblet gravy, chess pie, pecan pie, sweet potato pie, and pumpkin pie. I know I will have to do at least two pies of each kind and they will all be from scratch. I cannot wait! Good eats, friends, and family. It is going to be da bomb!
But, I am out of here right now. I am going to check on my eBay win. I finally got me The FIRM Step to go with my FIRM DVDs. Even though it is the old set and I am seriously thinking of selling it so I can get the new set. The new set looks like it would give a better workout, especially since the step is a lot more versatile and you can even work on a slope.
I also have some more stuff to do around here and I would like to get a few lessons finished today. I want to get all my CE courses for my Comprehensive Certificate in Christian Apologetics completed before the end of this year. Once I get them done, I can more on to actual Bible study courses.
Update 5:54 PM: I was reminded that I totally forgot about broccoli and cheese casserole! I make it every year! How I could have possibly forgotten about it ... I have no clue. I also forgot about cranberry sauce, but then my family does the jellified kind that comes in a can and then you slice it. Yuck! But, then I don't eat cranberry sauce regardless of how it is served.
I am seriously considering making some of my famous garlic cheese biscuits though. Everyone who has tasted them absolutely loves them. I think they would be a great addition to the Thanksgiving Feast. :)

Yum! I LOVE to cook big holiday meals, too. Everything from scratch. I make a mean pumpkin pie. Now, I'm hungry and off to the kitchen to find something to snack on!
I usually spend three days cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Same for Easter. I love it and I especially love watching everyone eat it. I will be honest, though ... I hate for everyone to eat it all. I look forward to the leftovers. :)
so how'd your roast turn out? :)
It turned out so good! I made some garlic cheese biscuits to go with it and we tore it up. The leftovers didn't even survive! LOL
